happy birthday to the HP (or is that PH?)

today is my friend Karen's birthday. I'd tell you her age, but I must remain a gentleman. I can tell you that you'd be surprised.

while I've known Karen less than a year, we became quick friends - out of the midst of chaos. first we were co-workers, then comiserators and then the line was crossed. she's been tremendously supportive of me through my plethora of crap this year (in one case literally.) we've had some great times - (the Cav wine bar, watching for seals in the bay, Dore Alley, etc.) we're also sharing a journey on the path to enlightenment or at least exploration of the mind. it can be a scary path.

Karen, I hope you have a wonderful day! You're beautiful - inside and out!
