another new roommate...

one of the really good things about my trip to the UK is that when i came back the old roommate was gone. bye-bye. best of luck. to torment me even further she left me a beautiful thank you card and a lovely 2005 calendar with wonderful meadow scenes from her native colorado. i felt bad. well, for about 5 minutes.

but - alas - my new roommate has arrived. her name is ele (ellie) and she's from puerto rico. i have always wanted to go to puerto rico. she is lovely and friendly and just the sweetest person. i can already tell that for the first time in a long time i'll eventually be sorry to see her go. she has yet to bring out even an ounce of bitchiness in me. plus, i have zero reporting lines to her unlike the last two people who sat in that seat.
